A human rights NGO representing marginalised groups on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. United and Strong Inc was  formed in 2001 and became a registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in 2005.

Our mission: To provide an enabling environment for the advancement of human rights for the LGBTI community in Saint Lucia.

U&S is a member organization of the Caribbean HIV/AIDS Partnership — a network of groups focused on LGBT and other marginalized communities in the OECS islands, with the vision of equality and human rights for all, working to eliminate stigma, discrimination, reduce inequality, and protect human rights and lives.

New logo affirms the future direction of United and Strong

In 2009 the LGBTI human rights organisation made recommendations to Saint Lucia’s Constitutional Reform Commission (CRC) to speak to the discrimination within the constitution of individuals based on sexual

orientation and gender Identity. Read the full CRC submission here….

The organisation hosts the eastern Caribbean hub of the Caribbean Forum for Liberation and Acceptance of Genders and Sexuality (CariFLAGS). It previously hosted the Alternate Women’s Secretariat of the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA).
It currently hosts the Women’s Secretariat of the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA).
